Student safety is our priority. We encourage the whole community to be safe travellers on their way to and from school
Many of our students receive assisted transport to our school from outside of the local area. Whilst we communicate regularly with the drivers carrying out this service and liaise between students families and the drivers, it is the responsibility of parents/carers to communicate effectively with the drivers to ensure safe pick-up, drop-off and travel. The drivers have very clear guidelines to follow to ensure their safety and the safety of the students. If these guidelines are not followed your child may lose the privilege to be transported to and from school on a temporary or permanent basis.
As a parent or carer, you are responsible for how your child gets to and from school. Where possible, we encourage walking.
Plan ahead by discussing the following with your children:
safe travel routes
how to share the road safely
alternative arrangements for when unexpected things happen.
